Shelley and Joseph Meier recently returned from an amazing customized Quintess adventure to South Africa and Botswana, visiting Molori and Royal Malewane camps. Shelley was kind enough to share a few recollections of their trip.

Even though tons of people had told us that Quintess luxury safaris were amazing, this absolutely blew our expectations away. With safari lodges you don’t know what to expect. You think you’re in the middle of nowhere–because you are!–but then you find yourself landing in a bush plane on a tiny airstrip and being transported to a lodge with glass chandeliers, amazing food and impeccable service. Everything was absolutely high-end, beyond what we could imagine.

At Molori, we were one of only two couples at the camp and felt like King and Queen. The staff were all incredible; I just can’t say enough about how good they were. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and explained so much.

The highlight, the ultimate though, was that we saw every animal on our list. That doesn’t happen all the time … this is not Animal Kingdom like in Orlando, where the animals are in limited fenced-in spaces. We were in the Jeeps in *their* environment, and it was amazing. Elephants came and drank from our pool!

We met some really cool people from all over the world at our lodges, so much so that we our new friends in Cape Town invited us to a party in their home.

I have referred a few people already. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us, and if it as all possible, I’d recommend that everyone have this amazing experience.
